Explore Meow Wolf, a Unique, Crazy, Alice-in-Wonderland-like Experience in Sante Fe!
Meow Wolf began in 2008 as an informal DIY collective of Santa Fe artists. These collaborative roots lay the foundation for Meow Wolf's distinctive style of immersive, maximalist environments that encourages audience participation.
What is it? Located in an old bowling alley, House of Eternal Return is Meow Wolf’s first permanent art installation and it’s a “mind-bending, interactive, explorable art experience featuring over 70 rooms of interactive, hands-on art for people of all ages.” It is SUCH a unique experience and I highly recommend it! It felt very much like an “Alice Wonderland” theme in many ways with secret tunnels, strange exhibits, and tons of surprises. My 5- and 7-year-old girls absolutely loved it (we did not find it scary!). There is a gift shop and both food and drink are available.
Beware: There is low lighting and the exhibit can be confusing. I recommend 1 adult to 1 child ratio and be careful to stay with your child, especially if they tend to wander.
How long to visit: Guests spend an average of 90 minutes inside the exhibit but we recommend you plan for at least 2 hours. There's a lot to see and you may not see it all!
How to visit:
- Pick a day and buy tickets online.
- Check health & safety guidelines for compliance.
- Arrive and park
- Gather your group and tickets
- Join the check-in queue at your time slot
- Complete health check
To note: Please leave all strollers, luggage, backpacks, bulky coats and other large items in your vehicle. There are limited token operated lockers available in the lobby.
Chromodepth glasses: They pull warm colors forward and push cool colors back giving things a 3-D appearance, especially under blacklight. They will enhance many things in the exhibit but they are not required. They cost $1 and can be purchased on-site during your visit or as an add-on when you purchase your ticket online.
There is a roller parking area outside.
